Rick Wienecke

The Foundation has its seat and main office in The Netherlands, and was established by notary act on May 28, 2010.

The Foundation’s objective is to support  the Israeli-Canadian sculptor Rick Wienecke, whose work and in particular ‘The Fountain of Tears’ is to be a communication through art, facilitating healing and hope between people devastated by World War II.

The Foundation’s activity is to make the project Fountain of Tears known and accessible in the whole world. Therefore, in 2012, the Foundation purchased a plot of land near the Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau in Poland in order to host a replica of the original ‘Fountain of Tears’ that is located in Arad, Israel.
